ERGONOMIC DESIGN FOR THE BEST VINTAGES

Gary Birks´ ergonomic design fits beautifully in the hand, while the corkscrew spindle drills smoothly into the cork, and the rotating mechanism simultaneously lifts the wine stopper without much effort. The spindle is made of manganese steel, which can reach a hardness of almost 600 BHN (Brinell hardness). This makes it about five times harder than mild steel and still three times harder than annealed stainless steel. Manganese steel is also characterized by its high rust and corrosion resistance. The wine stopper, with its similar shape and excellent sealing properties, matches the design.
